Christy Nelson, 52, of Palmyra, VA, passed away peacefully in her home on December 13, 2022.
Born in Baton Rouge, LA, Christy attended Parkview Baptist and Tara High Schools. She studied Accounting and Finance as well as Business Management at Louisiana State University (LSU).
Christy enjoyed playing board games, going to the beach with friends, and spending time with her beloved Pekingese, “Nola”, all while having an ice cold Coca-Cola. Christy loved LSU and was a complete football fanatic; but nothing compared to the love she had for her sons and grandchildren (or “grands” as she called them).
Christy is survived by her parents, brother, 3 sons, and her beloved “grands”
As per Christy’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.

Christy and I were friends a long time ago. Our kids played ball together. This lady was a crazy fun person. She always made me laugh. She loved her kids. We haven’t spoken in about 7 years. My heart is sad. Praying for her family.
