Judy Lynn Farrish

On the evening of Friday , April 18, 2021, Judy Lynn Farrish passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 63.  She is preceded in death by her father , John Johnson , and mother , Barbara Houston.  She is survived by her loving husband , Kenneth Samuels; her son , Cody Farrish , daughter- in -law , Sarah Farrish , and grandsons , Zack and Colt; her son , Casey Farrish , daughter-in-law , Susan Farrish , and granddaughters , Emma and Peyton; step sons , Ken Ray Samuels and Cody Samuels; her siblings , Lamar Joh nson, Samantha Hague and Belinda Johnson ; and many special nieces and nephews.

Judy was born on December 23, 1957, in El Paso, Texas.  After graduating from Annandale High School, she attended Mary Washington and graduated from the University of Virginia.  After graduating fro m the University of Virginia she began a long, fulfilling teaching career where she quickly found a home at Fluvanna County Public Schools.  She touched the lives of many students during her lengthy tenure as a Special Education Teacher at Central Elementa ry School.  She was known throughout the halls as the “Popcorn Lady” as she would always be seen carrying a bag of popcorn.  Her laugh was indistinguishable and could easily fill a room.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 4-7 pm at the Kents Store ARC building at 111 Kents Store Way, Kents Store, VA 23084 .  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to:
