Thomas F. Millway

Thomas F. Millway, Sr., 83, of Troy, VA, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2022. He was born on March 24, 1938 in Troy, VA to the late Henry Millway and Sallie Morris Simms. Thomas is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Myrtle Millway; his sisters, Rosalie Page and Dorthey Britts; and his brother, James Millway. He is survived by his son, Thomas Millway, Jr. (Diane) of Troy, VA; daughter, Brenda Lam (Hollis) of Greene County, VA; grandchildren, Melissa Millway, April Kimble (Greg), Thomas F. Millway, III. (Summer), Henry Millway and David Lam; 9 great grandchildren and brother, John Millway (Hazel) of Troy, VA. Thomas retired from Pilot Freight Services in Richmond, VA where he was a truck driver for 25 years. He loved working with his tractors, fishing and listening to bluegrass music. He was a loving and caring father, grandfather and great grandfather. A funeral will be held at 11am on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Beaverdam Baptist Church, 1794 Richmond Road, Troy, VA 22974 , with a visitation held prior from 10am to 11am . Arrangements are being handled by Sheridan Funeral Home in Kents Store, VA.
