Robert Allan Winfrey

Robert Allan Winfrey entered this world August 24, 1943, and bid farewell March 13, 2023 . He was preceded in death by his brother, M.B.Winfrey Jr. and his parents, Matt and Jeannette Winfrey. He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Keller; his niece, Karen Ellis and her son, Alex Tracoma; his niece, Krista Bayer (George) and their daughter, Eva. He was quietly proud of his service as a Green Beret in the Special Forces during Vietnam, where he served two tours and earned a Purple Heart. There will be a gathering of friends to be announced where people can share their memories. Special thanks to the staff at Sunrise of Bon Air, Heritage Oaks, and Beaufont Healthcare and Rehab for their care and sharing in the laughter he always brought. What a blessing God gave us.
