Emory Hall Austin III (Uncle Bo) age 63, died unexpectedly on June 25, 2019. He was born in Queens, New York to Emory and Gertrude Austin. He resided at Lake Monticello overlooking the River he so loved.
His parents precede him in death. Emory is survived by his wife Donna Marsh Austin, sons Forrest (Jennifer) and Jake (Evyn) Austin; stepsons James (Katie) Sloan, Michael (Taylor) Snyder, and John Snyder; grandchildren Riley Ann and Kendall Austin, Rylan Mays, and Allie Slo
an; sisters Barbara (Joe) Morgan, Carolyn (Buddy) Deverell, and Jane Austin; nephews Ed (Ruth) and Andy (Candice) Mallory, Christopher and Matt Deverell; nieces Brent Chambless and Katharine Beverley; and numerous grandnephews and grandnieces.
Emory attended Fluvanna High School where he played football and ran track, then went on to Elon University on a lacrosse scholarship. He returned to work for Dominion Resources until he retired in 2017.
Emory enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, playing with his granddaughters and spending time with his dogs Remmie and Cody. He was a devoted husband, dad and granddad who was also loved by his nephews for the time he took when they were growing up.
Sheridan funeral home is handling the arrangements. There will be a Memorial Service on Sunday June 30 at 4PM at Sts Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Donations to your charity of choice may be offered in lieu of flowers.
