Barbara Jean Novak

Barbara Jean Novak, 87, of Charlottesville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2024. She was born on November 9, 1936, in Michigan. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Novak, and her sister, Dolores Cetrone.

Barbara, also known by those who loved her as Mom and Grandma, had a heart as big as the world. She brought happiness to everyone she met, and her outgoing nature made her a treasured friend. She loved meeting new people, and her warm and caring personality made her a joy to be around. Barbara's home was always open to those she loved, and she cherished the time spent over the holidays with her extended family.

In her free time, Barbara had a deep love for reading and thoroughly enjoyed her book club. She also had a green thumb and found joy in gardening and tending to plants and flowers alike. Being an active member of her community brought her great fulfillment, and she relished the opportunity to engage with others.

Barbara is survived by her son, Mark Novak, her grandson, Tim Novak, and her granddaughter, Rebecca Novak. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Saint Peter and Paul Church, located at 4309 Thomas Jefferson Pkwy, Palmyra, Virginia 22963. The service will be held on Thursday, February 22^nd at 11 AM and will be conducted by Sheridan Funeral Home in Kent Store, Virginia.
