Bonnie Fay George

Bonnie Fay Piercy George, 79 of Palmyra, Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2024.

Bonnie, affectionately known as Fay was born on January 13, 1945, to Claude and Modena Piercy in North Carolina. She is survived by her daughter Kelley Faye Clippard of Palmyra, Virginia, her grandson Edward L. Kirby, III (Tripp) of Luray, Virginia; her great grandson Theo Amiri Kirby of Luray, Virginia; her sisters Collotta Jean Suggs of Midlothian, Virginia and Sandra Morgan of Canton, North Carolina.

Fay is predeceased by her parents Claude and Modena Piercy, her loving husband Richard Fleming George, her son Fleming Edmund George, her daughter Heidi Ramona George, her twin brother Ronnie Piercy, her two sisters JoAnn Harrin and Luelle Cochran.

Fay was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an avid reader and a published poet. She read her Bible daily and interceded in prayer for many family, friends, and community members. She loved God with all her heart.

A funeral service will be held 11:00am Monday, July 22, 2024, at Lyles Baptist Church, 92 Lyles Church Lane, Palmyra, Virginia. Sheridan Funeral Home will handle the arrangements.
