Wilford H. “Charlie” Bowyer

Wilford H. "Charlie" Bowyer, 84, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2021. Wilford was born on February 26, 1937 in Cornwall, VA to the late Elmer and Rochie Bowyer. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley G. Bowyer; granddaughter, Ashlie Powell; brothers, Frank Bowyer, Bobby Bowyer and Charles Bowyer; and his sister, Helen Mays. He is survived by his daughters, Debra Waymoth and Wanda Powell (Zane); grandchildren, Christopher Powell, Brian Bowen (Sherri) and Christina Lemley (Mike); great grandchildren, Tiffany Bowen, Melissa Sluss, Michael Sluss and Hunter Bowen; brothers, Lawrence Bowyer, Mike Bowyer (Mary Ann) and Lester Bowyer (Karen); and numerous nieces and nephews. He retired from Dominion Virginia Power as a vehicle maintenance specialist in 1992. He also worked for the Goochland County Schools Department of Transportation. He was an avid collector of vehicles and loved his man cave (garage). He also loved Nascar and being with family in his spare time. A celebration of life will be held at 12pm on September 25, 2021 at Camp Accovac, 33021 Mountain Valley Road, Millboro, VA 24460 . Arrangements are being handled by Sheridan Funeral Home in Kents Store, VA.
