Christina Bachman

Tina Bachman, 50 passed away on January 11, 2024, surrounded by her family and friends at University of Viriginia Hospital.

Tina is survived by her boyfriend, Robert Deane, her mother Jeannette Lawrence & life partner Dennis Showalter; Father David Lawrence (Debbie); half-sister Brittany Lawrence Herring; half-brother Dwight Lawrence; her favorite Aunt Ingrid Payne along with numerous cousins and friends.

She was very close to her maternal grandparents. Her careers were varied but she definitely missed her calling with forensic science. If the TV was on, Tina would be watching crime solvers, murder shows, or some type of forensics show. She had a knack with numbers so her jobs as bank teller, account receivable clerk and a VA ABC sales associate were appropriate for her talents. Tina was a fun-loving, adventurous person as demonstrated by her skydiving and helicopter riding adventures. 

She was great with people and had an infectious smile with a great dimple. Her favorite holiday was Halloween, and she celebrated all year long. Tina was outspoken, hated pink and red, loved to argue with her mom over UVA and Virginia Tech, she loved her Raiders football, and crafts were a favorite past time. Diamond painting and chalk couture were some of her favorites, and she found a love for Lego building. Tina became a connoisseur and an avid Lego builder and collector. Tina loved people and was a generous helping hand whenever someone was in need.

The family would like to thank the staff of CCU at UVA Hospital, Dr. Gimple and Clouse, and the Dialysis nurses at Zions Crossroads, for their excellent and compassionate care.

Her memorial service will be held at Sheridan Funeral Home, 4626 Cedar Lane Road, Kents Store, Virginia on Thursday, January 18^th at 12:00pm, with family and friends gathering prior from 11:00am-12pm.
