William Thomas “Bill” Cleveland

Bill (William Thomas) Cleveland, 60, of Sandy Hook, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents; William A. Cleveland and Dianne (Taylor) Cleveland. He was survived by his loving and devoted wife of 39 years, Shara R. Cleveland; two daughters, Annelle M. Cleveland (Sam) and Kayla D. Cleveland (Kirk); father-in-law Tom M. Reid and mother-in-law Billie A. Reid; brothers Jeffrey, Randy, and Michael (Laura, Rachel, Ben); as well as numerous other family, friends, and colleagues.

A long-time resident of Goochland, Bill was the director of the Goochland County Information Technology department for nearly 20 years, retired, then recently opened an LLC as a Technical Consultant for a state agency.

An avid family man, Bill spent most of his time with his wife, daughters, and in-laws and working on projects around the house. He coached soccer for 8 years for his daughters’ teams and was an Advanced Open Water scuba diver for over a decade, a hobby he shared with Shara and their girls.

A celebration of life memorial will be held at Courthouse Market & Grill in the town of Goochland on Saturday, December 18th from 4pm-6pm .

In lieu of flowers, the family’s wishes are that donations be made to Goochland Cares.
