Mary Catherine "Cathy" Clifton, 61, of Buckingham, VA went to be with her Heavenly Father on October 8, 2020. She was born and raised in Danville, VA, but lived in Chester, VA, Richmond, VA and Fluvanna, VA before settling in Buckingham, VA. She tried her hand at numerous careers, but her one true passion was taking care of children. She was employed by Fluvanna County Public Schools for almost 30 years where she drove a bus and was a substitute teacher. She was also a long time member of the Fork Union Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She is proceeded in death by her one true love, her husband, John Paul Clifton; her mother, Frances Edna Robinson (Shields); her father, Jack Edward Boaze, Sr.; her brothers, Jack Edward Boaze, Jr. and Bobbie Wayne Boaze; and her sister, Thelma Lorraine Robinette (Shields). She is survived by her brother, Victor Robinson; her only daughter, Frances Marie Clifton; and tons of extended family. She is also survived by many she claimed as family, particularly Sarah Lamb, who she considered a daughter, as well as Olivia, Sophia, Stephen, Chasity, Hayden, Alex, Dillon, Nevaeh and Mario, Jr., all of whom she considered her precious grandchildren. Cathy was a special person and will forever live in the hearts of those she touched. A celebration of life will take place
at 2pm on October 24, 2020
