James L. Cosner, 61, of Charlottesville, VA, passed away suddenly on April 15, 2022. He was born on December 10, 1960 to his late parents, Laurence and Jane Cosner.
James is survived by three sisters, Janet Ratcliffe (Jack) of Voorhees, NJ, Carmen Forsee (Joe) of Chatsworth, GA and Paula Grimes (Harold) of Henrico, VA; his nephew, Scott Grimes of Kill Devil Hills, NC; two nieces, Melanie Nimmo (David) of Jasper, GA and Caitlin Peluszak (Kris) of Voorhees, NJ; and five great-nephews, Hayden Bullington of Jasper, GA and Sean, Joshua, Oliver, and Graeme Peluszak of Voorhees, NJ, along with many other family and close friends.
James was a graduate of Western Albemarle High School and had worked for Charlottesville NAPA Auto Parts for over 20 years. He was an avid fly fisherman, hunter and camper; often hunting on family property in Fluvanna County and fly fishing on the Jackson River in Hidden Valley, VA. James also loved reading and enjoyed spending time with family and friends; often talking and laughing over his lifetime of experiences until late in the night. He filled a special place in many lives and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
