Dorothy Bear

Dorothy Waldrop Bear passed away on February 15, 2025. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Violet Waldrop, as well as her brothers, Arthur Waldrop Jr., Walter Waldrop, and James Waldrop, and her sisters, Margaret Waldrop Robertson and Jane Waldrop Rice.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Bear Newman, her grandsons, Eddie Clements (Rose) and Dylan Youngblood, along with five great-grandchildren. She was famously known for her cakes and peanut brittle. 

In honoring her wishes, the family will hold a private burial. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Legacy Hospice for their care. Dorothy's vibrant spirit and love for her family will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
