Dorothy Jean Hill Joyce

Dorothy Jean Hill Joyce went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 17, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Joyce, her sister Mary Baldwin and two brothers John and Marvin Hill. She is survived by her sisters: Josephine Sprouse, Marlene Adams, Joyce Pope, Peggy Henley; her brother Calvin Hill.  She is loved by numerous nieces and nephews. Many of which she cared for as children and to them she’s known as “Sissy”.

She was truly the sweetest, most giving person we will ever have the pleasure of knowing. She was a pure example of a Christian woman and her love for Jesus was shared with everyone in her life. She will be dearly missed. 

A graveside service will be held 11:00am, Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, Virginia. Normans Funeral Chapel will handle the arrangements.
