Eleanor Lucille Flippo

If you are reading this, you know that I have been called home on February 4, 2025, by my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have been reunited with my parents George and Pauline Jones, my brother Russell Jones, my sisters Agnes Marks, Julia Grubs, and my daughter Yvonne Marks Shultz. Left to carry on my legacy are my son Roger Jarrell and his wife Karen; my two daughters Teresa Walker and her husband Jim, and Charlotte Williams. I have been so blessed with 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren during my lifetime.

A little about me, I was born in Louisa County on September 25, 1932. I enjoyed traveling with my special friend Winnie and Della. My most recent journey was a hot air balloon ride at 91 years young with family. Most people knew me by Miss Lucy, and everyone knew my favorite color was red! If you came to visit me, you knew I loved my flowers. My granddaughter Leslie spent many hours taking care of my flower garden for me.

During my last year on earth, I owe a big thanks to the Harbor Nursing Home staff, especially Jennifer, Tiffany, Justice, Spencer and Dr. Tina. I was also blessed to by the care I received from Sarah and Kevin of Hospice.

If you want to visit me one last time, come to Sheridan Funeral Home in Kents Store on February 22, 2025, at 1:00pm. Don’t forget to wear something red!
