Fay LeSueur

Fay Rea Smith LeSueur, 82, of Goochland, Virginia, passed away on August 27, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Her unwavering faith in God and the love for her family carried her through this challenging time. 

Fay was born on August 30, 1941, to Quincy Adams Smith and Veral Colley Smith. She is survived by her loving husband Clarence LeSueur; daughter Jacqueline Bagby (Robbie); two grandsons Coleman Bagby (Brooke) and Matthew Bagby (Jessica); three great grandchildren Kaylynn Thomas, Caroline Bagby, and Mason Bagby. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Connie Alvis. 

Fay loved her career in nursing. She was affectionately known as "Doc" to many. She enjoyed her community service to several organizations including Goochland Cares and the Goochland Disability Board. She also loved her church family dearly. 

The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, with services at 2 p.m. at Elpis Christian Church, 2703 Elpis Church Road Maidens, VA 23102. Interment will follow after the service. 

In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Elpis Christian Church or Goochland County Fire & EMS.
