Gerald Hodgeson

Reverend Gerald Hodgeson, 85, of Lake Monticello, VA formerly of Davison, MI.

After a long illness, God called Gerald home on Thursday, April 18, 2024.  He was born in Flint, MI on January 23, 1939, where he lived most of his life.  He was in the ministry for more than 50 years at the Flint Baptist Temple and Richfield Road Baptist Church.

He leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Barbara and 4 children: Kimberlie Rouillard, Randy (Julie) Hodgeson, Tamara (Charles) Bourne and Timothy (Rebecca) Hodgeson and brothers Donald (Shirley) Hodgeson and Edward (Dorothy) Hodgeson.  He had 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Grace Hodgeson, brothers Richard, Howard and Ted Hodgeson and son-in-law Michael Rouillard.

God blessed his life and his ministry so much with his family and a multitude of friends.  He remembered and talked about all of you and the fun times we had.  Thanks for loving him.

Memorial services will be held on June 8, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Effort Baptist Church in Palmyra, VA and June 1, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Flint Baptist Temple in Flint, MI.
