Mildred Irene Gilliam

Born on May 13 , 193 6 in Wise, VA , later settling in Goochland, VA with her h usband , Clarence Gilliam , w here they raised their 4 daughters. She loved cooking, gardening, sewing, and as of late coloring.

Some other favorites include “putting on her lips” to watch Bob Barker and Jimmie Johnson, her tv favorites.

Survivor s include her four daughters, Mellinda , Ella, Greta, and Anna, 7 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, James, Julie, Raven, Sarah, and Marsha , and 6 great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Timothy, Magnolia, Audrey, Killian, and Adalynn. Also 2 brother s , Ecker and Billy Kilgore. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence , and 2 sisters , Elizabeth and Helen.

There will not be a visitation. The funeral will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA 23238. Arrangements are being handled by Norman Funeral Chapel in Goochland, VA.
