Betty Reese Gray

Betty Reese Gray (77) passed away May 23, 2019. Born in Charlottesville, VA on March 1, 1942 to the late Roy Lynn Reese and Hannah Sprouse Reese. She is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth A. Harvey of Waynesboro, VA, Catherine H. Fitzgerald (Steve) of Stanardsville, VA, Connie D. Small of Charlottesville, VA, and Beverly H. Wood of Staunton, VA. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Kristy Harvey, Melanie Coffey (Josh), Stephanie Wood, Jeremy Knight (Chelsea), and Benjamin Small. Five great-grandchildren, Briana and Kaylin Rose, Jesse Houghtaling, Damon Coffey and Parker Knight. A brother, William Larry Reese (Linda), sister-in-law Merleen G. Reese, a host nieces and nephews, and a dear friend Marshall Forren. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Lovingston, VA. The family will receive visitors on May 28, 2019 from 7-8 pm at the Sheridan Funeral Home in Kents Store. A graveside service will be officiated by Reverend John Campbell on May 29, 2019, at 2:00 pm at the Bybee’s Road Baptist Church Cemetery, 4989 Bybees Church Rd, Troy, VA 22974. Sheridan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
