Joseph “Joe” Hall

Joseph “Joe” Hall, 73, of Palmyra, Virginia (formerly of Cambridge, Maryland), passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021, with his children by his side. Joe is survived by his children, Joyce Johnson (Palmyra, VA), Joseph “Jody” Hall (Palmyra, VA), Ronald “Ronnie” Staton (Palmyra, VA), Charlotte Staton (Scottsville, VA) and Jamie Spicer Willey (Cambridge, MD). In addition to his children, Joe leaves behind his son-in-law, Aaron Johnson, who spent many days and hours with Joe during his final days; grandchildren, Brittany (Will), Krista (Jess), Kayla, Carrissa, Logan, Joseph and Bradley (Tabitha); great grandchildren, Isaac, Isaiah and Ilijah; as well as his loving friend and ex-wife, Barbara “Bobbie” Garring; and many nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, James and Annie Hall; siblings, Henry, Evelyn, Barbara, Julia and William; and his lifelong love and mother of his children, Louise Hall. Joe loved animals, especially dogs, and will be missed by his companion, Chloe, but his family is certain he was met in heaven by Queenie, Dixie and Little Bit.  He loved to float the river and drink a cold one. Joe was a mechanic and held many certifications in automotive repair and service. A special thank you to Joe’s caregiver, Donna Garrison, and all you did to allow Joe to remain at home with his family. There will be a celebration of life at 11:00am on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Bethel Baptist Church, 227 Bethel Church Road, Palmyra, Virginia, 22963 .  The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Stroke Association.org in memory of Joe Hall.
