June’s faith was a steadying force in her life, especially during her final days. Christ was her constant companion as she faced obstacles and joyfully took on every challenge with supreme confidence that she could accomplish her objectives. She will be remembered for her love of learning, reading, painting, debating, and giving those around her two cents on every topic. She took great pains to prepare for her duties as a church lector, bible study class leader, and in her work with GraceInside Prison Ministry. Those lucky enough to work or study with her were likely changed forever by the experience. She leaves a large family who share her love of science, music, and learning. Each will carry her work ethic, common sense, and faith forward in life. She will be remembered by a large group of friends from Lake Monticello and 5100 Monument Avenue and her church families at Saints Peter and Paul in Fluvanna and St. Benedicts in Richmond.
A Mass celebrating June’s life will be held at Saint Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 4309 Thomas Jefferson Pkwy, Palmyra, VA 22963, on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to GraceInside Prison Ministry C/O Chaplain Jerusha Moses FCCW 144 Prison Lane Troy, VA 22974 in June’s honor.
