Julia Cameron

Julia Cameron, aged 89, of Mineral, Virginia, peacefully departed from this world on August 18, 2024, at Spring Oak Assisted Living.

Born on August 14, 1935, to Richard Anderson Trice, II and Alice Virginia Trice, Julia lived a life rich in love and dedication. She is survived by her beloved son, Paul Stewart Cameron, Jr. (Tracy), her son-in-law Frankie Sheridan (Kris), and a cherished family that includes her two grandsons, Patrick Sheridan (Ann) and Tyler Cameron (Ashley); her granddaughters, Nikki Sheridan and Morgan Dabney Cameron Hollins (Dillon); as well as seven great-grandchildren: Timmy, Halle, Julia, Henry, Holland, Joyner, and Cahler.

Julia is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul S. Cameron, Sr., her dear daughter, Virginia “Puddin” Dabney Sheridan, and her brother Richard “Dick” Anderson Trice, III. 

A dedicated community member, Julia was an active participant in the Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was also a devoted member of Mineral Baptist Church.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mineral Baptist Church, located at 51 Louisa Avenue, Louisa, Virginia. A funeral service celebrating her remarkable life will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Mineral Baptist Church, followed by interment at Hill Crest Cemetery, 175 Oak Leaf Drive, Louisa, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Mineral Volunteer Fire Dept. P.O. Box 274, Mineral, Virginia, 23117.
