Kay Eileen Price, 84, of Richmond Virginia, transitioned from earthly bond into the peace and freedom of Heaven on October 13, 2023.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Kathleen Harding Price and Roy Price; her sister Barbara Price Rasnake, her daughter Courtney Conyers and son Walter Ray Conyers. She is survived by her brother Roy Russell Price (Robin), daughters Susanne Payne (Douglas), Trish Yohe (Kenny), sons Donnie Conyers (Gwen Tompkins), Monty Conyers (Sheryl), Mike Conyers, nieces Debbie Rhodes (Ben), Connie Howard (Dennis); grandchildren Matthew Griffin Moore, Nick Thompson, (Leigh), Ross Thompson, Carrie Mosby Hammel (Scott), Deborah Conyers, (Patrick), Ryan Conyers (Sarah), Laci Burroughs, (Chris), Donna Wallace (Larry); great grandchildren Thomas, Cecilia, Liliana, Griffin, Ivy, Xavier, Everett, Addy, Harland, Emmitt, Brooklynn, Jolee, Ashley Reese, and so close to her heart her honorary grandchildren Justin, Jamie, Laurie and Jacob.
Kay’s sweet soul loved beyond measure! She loved deeply, wholly, and unconditionally and was unwavering with her devotion to her family. Her superpower was seeing the good in everyone. Even if you were not regularly in touch, she prayed for you, loved you, and always wished you the very best. She grew up on the family farm in Fork Union, was literally down to earth, tending to the farm chores, could do or fix just about anything, and always had an idea for a solution to every challenge that might arise. She remained steadfast in her love of God and the Lord Jesus Christ, and always shared her faith. She lived in Myrtle Beach for over 25 years, making lifelong friends while working at Otis Elevator. Wherever Kay lived, she was always involved in church and helping those around her. She loved gardening, flowers, hummingbirds, owls, and all of nature. She enjoyed traveling, eating out, keeping up with politics and current events, and was still very active on her cell phone and tablet with texting, calling, Facebook, messenger and absolutely loved taking pictures and receiving photos of family and friends. She created unending beauty with her adult coloring, “her paintings” as she called them, and her walls were always adorned with her finished products, which she lovingly shared with all.
We give a world of thanks to Intrepid Hospice and ALL the staff who have cared for Kay so lovingly and completely over the last two and a half years. The friendships created are priceless and the love abounds! The Haven Assisted Living literally was a God send and Kay was constantly cared for and had her every need attended to by the most amazing caregiver, Nichola Rockland! The Haven has many support staff members who work around the clock to keep all residents cared for, loved, happy and healthy.
