Lucie Beauchamp

Lucie Beauchamp, born April 20, 1938, in Paris, France passed away peacefully at her home in Goochland on December 8, 2024, following a brief illness. 

Predeceased by Sophie Gordon (mother), George Burac (father), and Robert Burac (brother). Lucie is survived by her loving daughter Sophie Marais-Hunt, and grandsons Anthony Hunt (Tyler) and Joseph Hunt. 

An avid gardener with a penchant for roses (Richmond Rose Society), as well as a patron of the arts who frequented the VMFA and Richmond Symphony. 

Madame Beauchamp was a beloved teacher at Goochland High School for three decades while shepherding many students to Paris over summer breaks. A celebration of life will be held in the New Year. Ca a ete une belle vie, au revoir et a la prochaine! (l'Amicale)
