Mary Clark

Mary Elizabeth Roberts Clark, 70, of Henrico, passed away on July 28, 2023.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Rody R. Roberts Sr. and Valerie Ragland Roberts.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Alfred L. Clark; their children, Elizabeth (Zach), Matthew C. Clark (Chanelle); her granddaughters, Willow and Ivy; her brother, Rody R. Roberts, Jr. (Barbara); her niece, Penny Harris (Justin); her nephews, Dave Roberts (Mae Ruth), Steve Roberts (Becky), Mike and Glen Stoher (Mandy); and her stepbrother Dennis Marshall.

Mary was a graduate of Goochland High School and worked for twenty years as a secretary in insurance and in law.

At age 28, Mary surrendered her life to Jesus Christ and lived for Him. At age 38, she met Al Clark who was the one true love of her life. They married on June 20, 1992, at Grove Avenue Baptist Church, where they met.

Mary enjoyed time spent with her Goochland High School Class of 1971 classmates, and her Grove Avenue Baptist Church friends. She was a passionate reader, generally reading approximately one hundred books each year. She also enjoyed writing, either for publication or just to amuse her friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Norman's Funeral Chapel, 2982 River Road West, Goochland, Virginia between the hours of 9-11am. A Memorial service will be held at 12:00pm, Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Greenwood Memorial Gardens located at 12609 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, Virginia.

Norman Funeral Chapel will handle all arrangements.
