Michael Boone

Michael Alex Boone, 64, of Palmyra, passed away unexpectedly on September 3rd, 2024, at the University of Virginia Hospital. Born on November 14th, 1959, he was the son of the late Elmer and Caroline Boone. He is reunited in death with his brother, David Alan Boone.

Michael is survived by his children, Ryan Boone and wife Amy, and Megan Boone and fiancé William. He leaves behind his brother, Daniel Boone, and wife JoAnne, as well as his girlfriend Christine Brown, her daughter Candyce and boyfriend David. He cherished his role as an uncle to nephew Danny Boone and wife Heather, niece Rebecca and husband Cory, along with their children, and nephews Mathew and Brandon. Michael also leaves behind many other beloved family members and dear friends.

Michael dedicated many years to farming and viticulture, later transitioning into a career as an engineer. He cherished the time spent with close friends in New Hampshire and loved hosting gatherings with family and friends at his home on Lake Monticello alongside Christine. One of his greatest joys was restoring and paddling in his canoe on the lake. Michael's loyal companion Bean, his beloved dog, was a constant source of joy in his life, as was the wildlife he so lovingly fed in his backyard.

A gathering of friends to honor Michael’s memory will be announced at a later date. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
