Myrtle H. Millway

Myrtle H. Millway, 82, of Troy, VA, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 at UVA Hospital. Born November 21, 1939 in Scottsville, VA, she is the daughter of the late Susie Rice Harding and Pleasant Harding. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Marion Harding, Wallace Harding, Raymond Harding and Junior Harding. Myrtle is survived by her husband, Thomas F. Millway, Sr. of Troy, VA; son, Thomas F. Millway, Jr. (Diane) of Troy, VA; daughter, Brenda Lam (Hollis) of Greene County, VA; grandchildren, Melissa Millway, April Kimble (Greg), Thomas F. Millway, III. (Summer), Henry Millway and David Lam; 9 great grandchildren; and sisters, Edith Yancy of Chesterfield, VA and Florence Nowell of Glen Allen, VA.

Myrtle was a dedicated employee to AT&T where she retired after 30 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed caring for all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving and giving person who enjoyed cooking as well.

The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at UVA Hospital. A service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Beaverdam Baptist Church, 1794 Richmond Road, Troy, VA 22974 with interment to follow. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 2-3pm . Arrangements are being handled by Sheridan Funeral Home in Kents Store, VA.
