Isabel White Mouser, 91, of Scottsville, VA, passed away on October 7, 2022. She had a great love for dogs and was the first licensed veterinarian technician in Virginia. Isabel was also very active in breeding, training and showing horses. She was a dedicated temple worker, with 24 years of service, to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Washington, DC temple.
She is survived by her husband, Robert S. Mouser; three biological children, Karyn Nelson Anderson, Frederic Paul Nelson and Peggy Lee Hensley; two adopted children, Isabel Burley and Katherine Brown; six children by marriage, Linda Payne, James Walter Nace Mouser, Robert Sidney Mouser, Jr., Brenda Howell, Michele Koelkebeck and Michael Glen Mouser; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 11am on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 , with a visitation being held one hour prior from 10am to 11am , at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2985 Hydraulic Road, Charlottesville, VA 22901 . Interment will follow at Monticello Memory Gardens, 670 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Charlottesville, VA 22902 . In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints missionary fund. Arrangements are being handled by Sheridan Funeral Home in Kents Store, VA.
