David Hugh Norford

He is predeceased by his mother and father, Margaret Norford and Hugh Norford, along with a very special aunt Alice Clements. He is survived by his wife, Jean, son, Paul, fur-baby Bo and Saddie Rose, along with his mother-in-law Margaret Johnson. His son Paul was his pride and joy, they loved shooting and working in the shop together. He is survived by his brother, Tommy Norford (Debbie), sister RuthAnne Laver (Scott), brother, Phillip (CK), and brother, Andy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. David was born and raised in Charlottesville, Virginia. He retired from Kroger as a department head for 23 years, and he was most recently employed at Reid Super Save as a grocery manager. David was a train enthusiast, and an avid gun collector. He loved reading about war history. The family would like to thank Michael Keng and Kim Conrad, along with the Oncology team at UVA Emily Couric Cancer Center. The family would also like to thank Shelia Ligun, his homecare nurse.

There will be a graveside service on December 4 th , 2021 at 11 am , at Beaverdam Baptist Church cemetery. Funeral arrangements will be handled by Sheridan Funeral Home of Kents Store, Virginia.
