James “Temple” Payne

James “Temple” Payne, 82, went to be with the Lord Friday, April 29, 2022.  He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Annie Mae Payne, one son Jeffery Payne, and wife, Edith Payne. He is survived by his wife of fifteen years, Sandra D. “Bryce” Payne, cousins; Blanche Faudre and Ruth Ann Walls. He is also survived by close friends; Judy and Mitchell McKinney, Leslie Parrish, Amy Doorman, and other close friends. Temple was a devoted husband and father, and served a life-long career in law enforcement.  A visitation will be held Wednesday May 4, 2022 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at Norman Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at Mt Gilead Church Thursday May 5, 2022 at 2 pm .
