Riley Morrison

Riley Walter Morrison, age 78, passed away at home in Goochland, Virginia on May 14th, 2024. 

Riley enjoyed being outside on the farm, playing music, and “piddling around” with his tractors, animals, and his antiques. Riley loved his friends and family and would make a point to tell them that he enjoyed and appreciated them: sometimes with a hug, but most frequently with a joke, or an enthusiastic “Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do!” Riley is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Hodges Morrison; his sisters, Barbara Pfeiffer (Louis), Betty Richardson (Billy), sister-in-law Charlene Martin Hodges (J.B.), cousins who were like brothers Buck Roberts, and Jimmy Grandstaff, loyal friends Michael and Lottie, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose memories of Riley will hold a special place in their hearts. Riley was proceeded in death by his parents, Lee and Bessie Morrison, his siblings Horace Neville Morrison Sr., Ann Lee Agee (Henry), and Peggy Sue Mayo (John).

A graveside service will be held at 1:00p.m. on Monday August 12th, at Perkins Baptist Church, 3146 Hadensville-Fife Road, Goochland, Virginia.
