Samantha Buonomo

Samantha Buonomo, born on October 26, 1966, bid farewell to this world on March 19, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and boundless generosity. Samantha was the cherished daughter of Eve and Robert Carstairs, a beacon of light within her family and community.

In her loving embrace, Samantha leaves behind her beloved husband, Robert, and their three adoring children, Kimberly, Jake, and George. She was also the doting Grammam of Wyatt, Ellie, and Dinah, whose laughter filled her heart with immeasurable joy.
Samantha was the epitome of familial devotion, embodying the essence of a nurturing spirit. She wholeheartedly embraced the role of matriarch, infusing every moment with love, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to her family's happiness. In her home, she was not just a pillar of strength but the entirety of the village, ensuring that every occasion, from holidays to ordinary days, was adorned with magic and cherished memories.

A devout Catholic since 2002, Samantha's faith was an integral part of her life. She shared her spiritual journey with her loved ones, inspiring her sister Barbara, her mother Eve, her son George, and her son-in-law Josh to embrace their faith wholeheartedly. Together, they celebrated over two decades of shared Masses and sacraments, forging bonds that transcended earthly bounds.
Beyond her familial roles, Samantha was an avid runner who found solace and delight in the beauty of the outdoors, often basking in the serenity of her backyard oasis by the pool. Her selflessness knew no bounds, as evidenced by her unwavering support for her family's endeavors, whether it was accompanying them on lengthy drives to horse shows or ensuring every tailgating item was in place for a Virginia Tech football game.
Samantha's sisters, Barbara and Christine found in her not just a sibling but a confidante and best friend, while her mother could always rely on her unwavering presence, even at the earliest hours of the morning. Her door was always open, her words of wisdom ever-ready, and her heart endlessly compassionate.

In recent years, Samantha's world revolved around her cherished grandchildren, whom she vowed to protect and nurture at all costs. Her sudden departure has left a chasm in the hearts of all who were touched by her kindness, leaving behind cherished memories and an enduring legacy of love.

Though Samantha's earthly journey has come to an end, her spirit will live on eternally in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire acts of love and kindness for generations to come.
