Barbara Nuckols Tester

Barbara Nuckols Tester, 49, a life long resident of Goochland County, Virginia, passed away May 22, 2021 at home surrounded by those who loved her. She was the beloved mother of Brandi Tester Sims.

Barbara was the daughter of Charles D. Nuckols (Jane) and Diane Dameron Blair. Barbara worked as a local optician for 20 plus years where she made countless friends before she became a sales representative for Marchon Eyewear. Besides her daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Tyler Sims, Barbara leaves behind her loving sister and brother in law, Anne and Patrick Smith of Goochland, VA. Barbara also leaves behind the love of her life, Pat Stone (Ashley and Maddie).

Barbara was an incredible person and loved spending time with her girlfriends, you could often find her by the pool or on the lake during the summer. She enjoyed sipping Margaritas, sporting her many pair of sunglasses and loving her people. Her presence will be greatly missed amongst us all. A celebration of Barbara’s life and the love everyone had for her is planned for June 19, 2021 from 2-6pm at her home in Goochland, VA. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Riley Saunders, 2768 Maidens Road, Goochland, VA 23063 , in memory of Barbara.
