Raymond “Scott” Walton, Sr.

Raymond "Scott" Walton, Sr., of Goochland, VA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 6, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Rosalee (Scott) Walton; and brother, Donnie Walton. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Jeannette Walton; sons, Scott Walton, Jr. (Ginny), Aaron Walton (Mary) and Jason Walton (Krystle); stepchildren, Lori Ford (Mark), Steve Farthing (Annmarie) and Kevin Farthing (Sara); grandchildren, Sarah, Macy, Chelsey, Parker, Laura, Cameron, Jessie and Jaymee; brothers, Dickie Walton (Brenda) and Gene Walton (Mary Ann); sister, Lucy (Ronnie); aunt, Betty Gray Faber; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Scott never met a stranger and had many close friends and considered his dear friends of Salem Baptist Church his second family. The family will receive friends at Salem Baptist Church, 465 Broad Street Road, Manakin-Sabot, VA 23103 from 10:00am-11:00am , followed by a celebration of life at 11:00am, on Saturday, December 11, 2021 . A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA 23238 soon after. Masks will be required during the visitation and service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the Salem Baptist Church Building Fund, 465 Broad Street Road, Manakin-Sabot, VA 23103 or Wounded Warrior Project at http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
